GTA players have spotted a mysterious piece of artwork within “The Kortz Center Heist” update, indicating a green landmass resembling fan-made projections of GTA VI’s Leonida map.
The painting was first spotted by a Reddit user, JaneBunnFan, suggesting a large central island with smaller landmasses to the top left and right, shaped that fans argue matches community mapping projects when rotated and inverted.
The discovery comes after Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick vowed a “creative” marketing campaign for the highly anticipated title.
Trailer 3 has been the most anticipated trailer to come out of Zelnick’s confirmation of summer marketing. It has not made any appearance to date, but the game is still slated for release on November 19th.
On the other hand, the fans of GTA continue to create hype on their own accord. A hardcore fan has spent about 145 hours creating a 1:1 scale map of GTA 6 in “Cities: Skylines II.” The map is available using Map ID 153426 and has working traffic and residents as well.
But it faces increased takedown risks due to Rockstar and Take-Two’s history of protecting their intellectual property.
Only four months are left to launch; however, no gameplay footage has been released yet. This forces fans to continue piecing together whatever clues they can find. GTA VI is set to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
