As many as 21,951 Pakistanis were deported from Gulf countries between March 1 and July 13, 2026.
Authorities cited several reasons for the deportations. These included overstaying, begging, illegal entry, drugs, refused asylum, forged documents, and security concerns.
The Ministry for Narcotics Control shared the figures in a written response to the National Assembly.
Ministry Shares Details in National Assembly
MNA Hameed Hussain raised questions about the deportations during Thursday’s question hour.
In response, the Ministry for Narcotics Control provided a breakdown of the cases.
The ministry reported that 4,628 absconders were deported. Meanwhile, authorities sent back 1,294 Pakistanis after they served jail terms.
Another 968 Pakistanis were blacklisted. In addition, 1,155 cases involved lost passports.
Visa and Entry Violations
Authorities deported 689 Pakistanis for visa violations.
Gulf states also refused entry to 342 Pakistanis. These cases involved people who could not enter their destination countries.
The ministry recorded another 6,662 deportations under the category of “Others.” However, the response did not specify the exact offences in this category.
Saudi Arabia Records Highest Number
Saudi Arabia deported the highest number of Pakistanis during the period.
The country sent back almost 15,500 Pakistanis. The United Arab Emirates followed with 3,803 deportations.
Oman deported 1,606 Pakistanis. Bahrain sent back 521, while Qatar deported 429.
Kuwait recorded the lowest number among the listed Gulf states, with 97 deportations.
Hundreds Deported for Begging
The ministry also reported the deportation of 472 Pakistani beggars from Gulf countries.
Several other cases involved different immigration and criminal offences.
For example, the UAE deported nine Pakistanis through Interpol. Authorities also sent back others after they faced refused onward travel.
Some cases involved impersonation, expired iqamas and passports, theft, and other immigration violations.
Absconders and Overstayers
Saudi Arabia deported the largest number of Pakistani absconders.
The country recorded 3,921 such cases. The UAE followed with 636 absconder deportations.
Saudi Arabia also sent back 1,924 Pakistanis for overstaying or illegal entry.
Meanwhile, the UAE deported 347 Pakistanis for the same offences. Oman sent back 295 people in similar cases.
The figures highlight the large number of Pakistanis facing deportation from Gulf countries. The cases also show the importance of following visa, residency, and immigration laws while living or working abroad.
