ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has inaugurated a Daanish School in Islamabad, reaffirming the government’s commitment to providing equal educational opportunities to talented children across Pakistan.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the prime minister said financial constraints prevent millions of capable young people from reaching their full potential.
He noted that many talented boys and girls have the intelligence, passion and determination to help Pakistan become one of the fastest-growing nations. However, limited financial resources remain a major barrier to their progress.
Daanish Schools to Support Underprivileged Students
Recalling the vision behind the Daanish Schools network, established in 2010, PM Shehbaz said the initiative aimed to provide high-quality education to underprivileged students from every part of the country.
The programme was designed to give children, including those from Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, access to education comparable to that offered by elite institutions.
The prime minister also praised Daanish School graduates, describing their success stories as inspiring and deeply moving.
PM Stresses Equal Educational Opportunities
PM Shehbaz emphasised that every talented child deserves equal opportunities, regardless of family wealth or social background.
He said children should have the same chance to succeed, whether they belong to wealthy families, come from the country’s elite or have lost both parents.
“If these children are left to waste their time in the muddy streets of their villages and cities, then this is not the Pakistan of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. This is certainly not his Pakistan,” he remarked.
The prime minister reiterated that quality education is a right for all talented children, regardless of their socioeconomic circumstances.
