England Win Toss, Elect to Bowl Against Pakistan in Second ODI

RAWALPINDI: England won the toss and elected to bowl first against hosts Pakistan in the second match of the ongoing ODI tri-series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi confirmed that his side would field an unchanged playing XI for the match.

The game marks England’s first ODI appearance in Pakistan since 2005.

England hold the advantage in the head-to-head record, leading Pakistan 57-32 in 92 one-day internationals.

Pakistan Enter Match After Opening Win

Pakistan began the tri-series with a 37-run victory over Sri Lanka in the opening match.

Salman Ali Agha’s century and a strong bowling performance helped Pakistan defend a target of 306. Sri Lanka were bowled out for 268 in 48.1 overs, with Pakistan’s bowlers delivering a disciplined display under captain Shaheen Afridi.

However, the International Cricket Council (ICC) penalised both teams for slow over-rates during the match. Pakistan received a fine of 10% of their match fee, while Sri Lanka were fined 5%.
