Former finance minister Miftah Ismail has responded to the long-running debate over Cocomo packets in a lighthearted way.
Many Pakistanis believe Cocomo packets contain fewer biscuits than they did in the past. Some also claim that certain biscuits contain little or no chocolate.
Miftah recently discussed the issue during a podcast. Instead of giving a serious response immediately, he decided to joke about the popular complaint.
With a smile, he suggested that the claims could be “India’s propaganda.” He then jokingly referred to a possible “Yahudi saazish.”
His remarks made everyone in the studio laugh.
Miftah Explains His View
After the jokes, Miftah addressed the complaints more seriously.
He said manufacturers produce millions of Cocomo packets. Because of this, an occasional packet could contain fewer biscuits due to a manufacturing error.
However, he said such cases would be extremely rare.
Miftah also rejected claims that Cocomo packets are routinely underfilled. He suggested that a genuine issue might affect only one packet out of hundreds of thousands.
In some cases, the problem could be as rare as one packet out of a million.

For years, social media users have shared memes about Cocomo packets. Many claim the packets are not as full as they once were.

These complaints have turned Cocomo into one of Pakistan’s most unexpectedly debated snacks.
Miftah, however, believes the widespread claims may be exaggerated.
He said any genuine underfilled packet would likely result from a rare manufacturing problem rather than a regular practice.
