PTI Slams Emergency and Governor’s Rule Plans for KP, Cites 18th Amendment

PESHAWAR: PTI’s Shaukat Yousafzai on Saturday said that talking about emergency and a separate administrative setup for 12 districts has been a serious breach of the 18th Amendment.

“Bilawal should understand that raising voice for legitimate rights is not extremism,” PTI spokesman Shaukat Yousafzai said in a video statement today.

He said the PTI is not a hurdle in anti-terrorism operations, but it insists on taking all stakeholders into confidence.

He said proclamation of emergency or the governor’s rule will not resolve the problems.

Yousufzai said that the country needs political stability, the government should shun rigidity and ego to resolve issues on table with dialogue. “Use of force against political parties will not bring political stability in country”, he said.

People are coming to roads for protest despite the government’s fascism, he said. “The government’s misunderstanding will evaporate tomorrow, as hundreds of thousands of people crossing all hurdles, will reach Swabi,” he claimed.
