Punjab to Fill Vacant Posts in Educational Boards Through PPSC

The Punjab government has started the process of filling vacant positions across educational boards in the province. The recruitment drive is aimed at addressing long-standing staff shortages and improving the administrative performance of the boards.

Several positions are being filled at boards including the Lahore and Faisalabad educational boards. The vacancies include posts such as Computer Programmer, Assistant, Senior Computer Operator, Deputy Secretary, Assistant Secretary, and Estate Officer.

Lahore Board to Recruit for 33 Posts

The Lahore Board will recruit candidates for 33 positions in grades 16 and 17. The appointments will be made through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).

The recruitment process is expected to provide qualified candidates with opportunities to join the provincial education system. Officials said the appointments will be made according to the prescribed recruitment rules.

Recruitment to Address Staff Shortages

The Punjab government’s decision comes after years of staff shortages at several educational boards. Some boards have reportedly been waiting for fresh recruitment for nearly 15 years.

These vacancies have affected administrative operations and increased the workload on existing staff. Filling the vacant positions is therefore expected to improve the day-to-day functioning of the boards.

Appointments to Be Made on Merit

The Education Department said the recruitment process would be conducted transparently. Candidates will be selected according to the required qualifications, eligibility criteria, and official recruitment procedures.

The use of the PPSC recruitment process is also expected to ensure that appointments are made on merit.

Better Administration Expected

Officials believe the new appointments will strengthen the administrative structure of Punjab’s educational boards. Additional staff could also help boards manage examinations, records, technology, and other administrative responsibilities more efficiently.

The recruitment drive is part of the government’s efforts to improve the overall functioning of educational institutions and related departments across Punjab.
