Shadab Khan Ruled Out of Pakistan vs Sri Lanka ODI Tri-Series Final

Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan has been ruled out of the ODI tri-series final against Sri Lanka at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium due to medical concerns.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Shadab became unavailable after suffering a blow to the head from a bouncer during Pakistan’s fifth match of the tournament against Sri Lanka.

The board confirmed in an official statement that the all-rounder would miss the final on medical grounds.

Pakistan captain Shaheen Afridi also confirmed Shadab’s absence at the toss, where he elected to field first. Faheem Ashraf replaced him in the playing XI.

Shadab Khan’s Impressive Performance Against England

Shadab’s absence comes after an outstanding performance against England in the tournament’s fourth match.

He scored 113 runs off 96 balls, hitting 13 fours and five sixes.

His innings helped Pakistan recover from a difficult position of 154-9 while chasing a target of 242 runs.

Shadab also shared an unbeaten 84-run partnership with Haris Rauf, guiding Pakistan to a dramatic one-wicket victory and securing a place in the final.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka made one change to its playing XI, bringing in Maheesh Theekshana in place of Eshan Malinga.
