ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has inaugurated a Daanish School in Islamabad, reaffirming the government’s commitment to providing quality education and equal opportunities to talented students across Pakistan.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the prime minister said financial difficulties prevent millions of capable young people from reaching their full potential.
He noted that many talented boys and girls have the intelligence, determination and ability to help Pakistan become one of the fastest-growing nations. However, limited financial resources remain a major barrier to their progress.
Daanish Schools Aim to Support Underprivileged Students
Recalling the vision behind the Daanish Schools network, launched in 2010, PM Shehbaz said the initiative aimed to provide high-quality education to underprivileged children across the country.
The programme was designed to give students from every region, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, access to education comparable to that offered by elite institutions.
The prime minister also praised the achievements of Daanish School graduates, describing their success stories as inspiring and deeply moving.
PM Stresses Equal Educational Opportunities
PM Shehbaz emphasised that every talented child deserves equal educational opportunities, regardless of their family’s financial position or social status.
He said children should have the same chance to succeed, whether they belong to wealthy families or have lost both parents.
“If these children are left to waste their time in the muddy streets of their villages and cities, then this is not the Pakistan of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. This is certainly not his Pakistan,” he remarked.
The prime minister reiterated that quality education is a right for all talented children, regardless of their socioeconomic background.
