QUETTA: The Balochistan government has launched a telehealth application, Sehat Dehleez, to provide free medical consultations with qualified doctors across the province, particularly in remote areas.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced the initiative on X, saying the service received an encouraging response during its first 24 hours.
According to Bugti, the platform received 791 consultation calls on its first day, with doctors completing 495 consultations. A total of 718 calls included location information, and the service reached residents in 35 districts across Balochistan.
The chief minister said the initiative aims to improve healthcare access for people who struggle to reach medical facilities, especially during extreme weather conditions.
“The overwhelming response to Sehat Dehleez across Balochistan is a clear reflection of the trust and confidence of our people,” Bugti said. He added that the government was working to build a healthier and stronger province.
Free Medical Consultations Around the Clock
The Sehat Dehleez application provides free consultations with qualified doctors 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The service covers general healthcare, maternal and child health, and guidance on common illnesses. It also aims to help residents obtain timely medical advice without travelling long distances.
The People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) Balochistan introduced the platform to expand access to healthcare through digital technology.
According to PPHI Balochistan, residents can consult doctors from their homes, reducing travel needs for people living in areas with limited medical facilities.
The initiative also focuses on health awareness and guidance for common illnesses, with particular attention to maternal and child healthcare.
How to Access Sehat Dehleez
Residents can access the service through its web application and Android app by scanning the QR codes provided by PPHI Balochistan.
The platform is designed to make medical advice more accessible, convenient and responsive to public needs across the province.
The launch marks another step towards expanding digital healthcare services in Balochistan, particularly for communities that face geographical and other barriers to accessing medical facilities.
