KARACHI: K-Electric has introduced additional nighttime load-shedding in several Karachi areas where the utility reports high levels of power theft and system losses.
The additional outages are causing further hardship for residents already facing frequent electricity cuts across the city.
According to reports, K-Electric is switching off power for an extra two to three hours at night in affected localities.
Areas Affected by Additional Load-Shedding
The areas facing longer power outages include New Karachi, Shahnawaz Bhutto Colony, Manghopir, Lyari, Pak Colony, Jacob Lines, Lasbela, Essa Nagri, Khokhrapar, Shah Faisal, Manzoor Colony, Akhtar Colony, Chanesar Goth, Bhangoria Goth, Korangi, Orangi Town and Qasba Colony.

Paying Consumers Also Face Longer Outages
