Pakistan Gold beat Pakistan Greens by 101 runs to win National Champions Cup 2026

MULTAN: Pakistan Gold won the National Champions Cup 2026 after beating Pakistan Greens by 101 runs at Multan Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Shamyl Hussain and Saad Khan scored centuries to help Gold post 340 runs. Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi then produced a stunning bowling performance.

He took 7-36, including a hat-trick in the final over, as Pakistan Greens fell for 239 in 37.3 overs.

Gold Post 340 Runs

Pakistan Gold made a strong start after Muhammad Akhlaq and Shamyl Hussain added 78 runs for the first wicket.

Akhlaq scored 31 before his dismissal. Kamran Ghulam then fell for 10, leaving Gold at 95-2.

Hussain and Saad Khan rebuilt the innings with a 137-run partnership. Hussain reached his third List A century before Faheem Ashraf dismissed him.

He scored 111 from 93 balls, with 11 fours and four sixes.

Saad Khan continued the attack and completed his second List A century. He scored 112 from 102 balls, hitting 11 fours and four sixes.

He also added useful runs with Abdul Samad and Mubasir Khan.

Naseem Shah dismissed Saad and Mubasir in the penultimate over. Gold then lost their final three wickets in the last over, including two run-outs.

For Greens, Naseem Shah, Faheem Ashraf and Shadab Khan took two wickets each. Mehran Mumtaz and Mohammad Hasnain claimed one wicket apiece.

Greens Start Chase Well

Pakistan Greens needed 341 runs for victory.

Omair Bin Yousuf and Fakhar Zaman gave them a positive start. The pair added 53 runs before Mubasir Khan dismissed Fakhar in the eighth over.

Saad Baig then joined Yousuf and added 80 runs for the second wicket.

Baig led the Greens scoring with 67 from 51 balls. His innings included nine fours and two sixes.

Yousuf also contributed 44 from 50 balls.

Their dismissals put Greens under pressure. Shaheen then took control of the game.

The Gold captain dismissed Farhan Yousaf, Mohammad Suleman and Shadab Khan in quick succession. The three wickets left Greens struggling at 167-6.

Shaheen Seals Victory With Hat-Trick

Faheem Ashraf and Naseem Shah briefly revived the chase. They added 61 runs for the seventh wicket.

Naseem eventually fell to Shaheen after scoring 31 from 27 balls. His innings included two fours and two sixes.

Faheem remained unbeaten on 38 from 30 balls, but he could not take Greens over the line.

Shaheen returned for the final over and completed a remarkable hat-trick. Pakistan Greens lost their final wickets and finished on 239.

Shaheen ended with 7-36 from 8.3 overs.

Faisal Akram, Razaullah and Mubasir Khan took one wicket each for Pakistan Gold.

Fakhar Named Player of the Tournament

Despite Pakistan Greens’ defeat, Fakhar Zaman earned the Player of the Tournament award.

Pakistan Gold’s combination of big batting performances and Shaheen’s outstanding bowling secured them a convincing 101-run victory and the National Champions Cup 2026 title.
