LAHORE: The People’s Party expressed its lack of trust over the performance of PML-N in a joint session of Punjab Coordination Committee of the two allied parties while exchanging views over local government elections, price hike and problems faced by farmers.
PPP’s Hassan Murtaza strongly criticized to the PML-N over people’s problems, while Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Hassan Murtaza exchanged harsh words in meeting, sources said.
People’s Party also vehemently criticized failure in holding local government elections in Punjab and unceasing hikes in petroleum prices.
PPP representatives also protested with Ishaq Dar over power loadshedding, and the problems faced by the farmers, sources said.
Sources said that the record of the PPP’s nominations and schemes, given in the previous session of the committee was also not available with the ruling party.
The PPP recommendations were not implemented, sources said. “Hassan Murtaza said that the Punjab’s government has failed to fulfill its promises”.
According to sources, PML-N representatives complained of scathing criticism from Qamar Zaman Kaira and Hassan Murtaza.
“We reserve the right to reply to the criticism from the spokesmen of the Punjab government and the PML-N,” Hassan Murtaza responded”.
