ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has issued a traffic diversion plan for construction work at Kashmir Chowk on Club Road.
The plan aims to reduce traffic congestion and help motorists avoid delays.
An ITP official said diversions will remain in place during the construction work. The official advised motorists to plan their journeys and use alternative routes.
Routes From Islamabad to Rawalpindi
Motorists travelling from the Secretariat and Serena Hotel towards Rawalpindi can use Srinagar Highway and Ninth Avenue if authorities close Club Road.
Motorists from G-5, the Secretariat and Serena Hotel can also use Srinagar Highway, Mera Abadi and Peshawar Road.
Another option is to take a U-turn from Lake View and continue towards Murree Road and Club Road.
Routes Towards Rawal Dam
Motorists heading towards Rawal Dam Chowk, Park Road and Lehtrar Road can use Srinagar Highway.
They can then take Seventh Avenue, Shakarparian Road, Tulip Hotel Road and Rawal Dam Road.
Routes Towards Bhara Kahu and Murree
Motorists travelling towards Bhara Kahu and Murree can use Faizabad and Faisal Avenue.
They can then travel through Zero Point, Srinagar Highway Underpass, Jinnah Square and Kurriyanwala Chowk.
Routes From Rawalpindi to Islamabad
Motorists travelling from Rawalpindi towards Islamabad can use Ninth Avenue, Faqir Aipee Road and Srinagar Highway.
Those travelling from Park Road and Lehtrar Road can use Tulip Hotel Road, Garden Avenue and Seventh Avenue.
ITP Issues Travel Advisory
The ITP urged motorists to follow instructions from traffic police officers at diversion points.
Motorists should also use the recommended alternative routes to avoid unnecessary delays.
The traffic police will share further updates through ITP FM 92.4 and its official social media platforms.
