BUENOS AIRES: Zayn Malik received several heartfelt gifts and letters from fans in Argentina, but one Harry Potter-themed present appeared to capture his attention.
The former One Direction star performed at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires on Tuesday, October 6, as part of his Konnakol Tour.
The tour supports his fifth studio album of the same name.
After completing his first-ever solo concert in Argentina, Zayn shared a photo of gifts from fans on his Instagram Stories.
The collection included handwritten letters, handmade bracelets, soft toys and other personal keepsakes.
“I love you. Thank you Argentina,” he wrote alongside the photo.
Fan Gifts Zayn a Knitted Dobby
Among the gifts was a hand-knitted Dobby, the beloved house-elf from the Harry Potter franchise.
Zayn later shared another Instagram Story showing the knitted character alongside a letter from the fan.
“A little gift for your mic!” the note read.
“Dobby is ready to hit the stage with you and join you on The Konnakol Tour…”
The fan also used a Harry Potter reference to express their appreciation for Zayn.
They thanked the singer for being their “patronus in a world full of dementors”.
The fan also hoped Zayn would eventually bring the knitted Dobby on stage.
“Hope to see Dobby on stage and that you enjoy its company,” the note said.
The fan added that they were proud of Zayn and wished him beautiful memories from his time in Argentina.
Zayn Responds to Thoughtful Gesture
The Pillowtalk singer appeared to appreciate the thoughtful gift.
He responded to the fan with a simple message: “Thanks for Dobby” followed by a red heart emoji.
Zayn is known among his fans for his love of Dobby and the Harry Potter franchise.
He even named his pink, hairless Sphynx cat Dobby after the popular house-elf character.
